Adam Glenn is an award-winning news veteran now working as a New York-based independent online media consultant, helping develop strategies for digital content and delivery. During the last 25 years, he has held posts with a wide variety of news media in New York and Washington, most recently as senior producer at ABCNews.com in New York, where he ran health, science, technology and business coverage until 2005. His consulting clients include NBC Universal Chairman Bob Wright's charitable foundation Autism Speaks, The J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism at the University of Maryland, the Knight Digital Media Center, and The Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation, as well as magazine publisher Rodale Inc., and local newspaper publishers and associations.
He currently holds adjunct teaching positions at Department of Journalism at New York University and at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. At Columbia, he has also served for the last two years as managing editor for the Carnegie-Knight News21 news initiative.
Glenn is co-founder of I, Reporter, a citizen journalism training business, which recently won a prestigious Knight News Challenge Grant. He is a columnist for the Poynter Institute's E-Media Tidbits, and serves on the editorial advisory board for the Society of Environmental Journalists. Adam was awarded a 2002 Ford Environmental Journalism Fellowship to teach in India, and a 2005 Environmental Media Fellowship at the Vermont Law School. He received a masters in international affairs from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, and a bachelors in journalism from Boston University.
